AADHAR services move to the next step with e-cards

The AADHAR card is one of the most important documents of identification for Indian citizens. The process of issuing these cards has been simplified for the ease of citizens across India. Many centres have set up at places in order to accommodate requests for a larger group of citizens. Recently, the Unique Identification Authority of India, the organisation behind these cards, has come with up an additional service for citizens. Now you can print aadhaar card online itself through easy procedures.

AADHAR PVC print cards can now be done away with as e-cards can be easily printed online and sent to your residence provided you follow the procedures correctly. https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ is the link that you need to visit for getting a print copy of your card in the online mode. When you visit this link, you will get to know that you can print AADHAR card either with your AADHAR number or with the number that the authorities would have given you at the time of enrolment. With either of these two details, you can get your card printed off and sent to your address. Once you open the link, click on the circle next to the option that you have (AADHAR card number/enrolment number).

The next mandatory thing you need to have so that you can replace your AADHAR PVC print cards with an e-card is a valid mobile number that you have registered with UIDA. Only if you have registered your contact number, you will get a one time password (OTP) sent to your number for verification and authentication purposes. If all the processes are correct, your card is displayed on the screen in the form of a PDF file that is password protected. The password is the PIN code of your residence address.
